Three Goals Secure Victory at FC Peterborough
O.N. Chenecks progressed in the Northants Hillier Senior Cup following an entertaining 3-2 victory away at FC Peterborough.
Ryan Coxhill, got the Chens back on level terms with a headed equaliser before Michael Cirelli, fired home to put Chenecks ahead.
With the scores level again late in the game, Shad Reza, produced the decisive moment in the 80th minute, smashing home from the edge of the area to secure Chenecks’ place in the next round.
From Under 8s to the First Team
It was also a special night for one of our own, 17 year old Joe McCarthy, who made his senior debut for the club.
Joe’s journey with Chenecks began with our Under 8s and has taken him through the age groups to our Under 18s and now the First Team.
A proud moment for Joe, his family and everyone at O.N. Chenecks, and another example of the pathway from junior football through to the senior side.
Another good performance on the road and cup progress for the Chens.
